Write the pages before you pick a look

A theme cannot invent what you do. List the pages, write a sentence for each, then choose a layout. If a page has no sentence, leave it out of the menu.

Empty fields are a feature

People hide sections with comments in the HTML and then forget. Here, an empty string is enough. The block is gone until you put words back.

Photos belong in one folder

Keep portraits, heroes, and work images under public/content/img/. The theme may ship sample pictures; your real files should not live inside a theme folder, or the next theme will not see them.

A menu with eight items is usually too long

Switching a theme should not mean rewriting

If you rewrite the about page every time the header looks different, the system is wrong. Keep the words in content/*.json and let the new template wrap them.
